Annuals and Perennials are planted throughout the Gardens and provide color, beginning in early spring and continuing until frost.
In fall and spring pansies and violas put on a show. Throughout the summer dozens of varieties of annuals provide bright color, even during the dog days of summer. Sweeping borders of white caladiums and begonias line the beds that lead to the Manor House Gardens.
The Flower Bridge at the Welcome Center affords opportunities to experiment with combinations of vines, annuals and perennials.
Stalwarts in the Manor House borders include perennials like Russian Sage, Perovskia atriplicifolia and loosestrife. Annuals include coleus, variegated fountain grass, salvias and various lantana.
